Hi there!
I was pleasantly surprised to read online news about our very own HILOT making a comeback courtesy of Mrs. Del Mundo.
As a child in the 80's, I have always liked my trips to the albularyo whenever I get "pilay" and it's a "yehey" day for e each time I visited "Mang" Kung Sino Man in a nearby place.
There I would see people lining up just to get the Hilot that would make their bodies feel better, a lot of time their souls and the unseen are also cured of maladies.
It's a sad and culturally terrible fact that in the years leading up to the present, much has been achieved by western medicine (a big lie!) that our hilot was pushed out to oblivion. Hilot is touch therapy with the Filipino touch.
Yes, let us Filipinize the world, one post at a time. By the way, I cherish the days I spent at Forest Club together with the MGIS 2009 Class together with Mr. Luis VOltaire Formilleza.
Thing is, we didn't have the chance to go thru hilot because of the workload we had with the Grade 10 class.
Here's a link that will direct you to google's search for the word HILOT.
Now back to reality!
