As of April 2008, Alex is on Top 8 of the world's top 50 rating of womens chess players. Still at number one is the Hungarian player based in US of A, Judith Polgar with a whooping 2709 rating. Born 1976, a fellow dragon sign carrier, she has elevated the game and improved it in the USA and around the world.
On second spot is Humpy Koneru of India with a 2603 FIDE rating and followed on third is Chinese Jun Xie with a rating of 2574. There are three Chinese flag carriers within the top 10 but on tenth is a Chinese surname but she carries the Qatar flag. Not really sure Chen Zhu's nationality.
