The Dream is Safe Home
Z Gorres "The Dream" is back in the country on a wheelchair but beeming with hopes and dreams of helping the young boxers of this generation. It was in 2005 that first heard of his name and saw his boxing matches in a documentary on TV.
With his feisty footworks and dance-like motion on the floor, I knew he would be an exciting boxer to watch and a potential big name in the sports. Fast forward today, Z Gorres is fnally at home after a career-ending injury he suffered in November 13, 2009. After winning a 10 round bout against Luis Melendez, he collapsed in th ring and was later moved out of it by a stretcher.
Medical practitioners thought he wouldn't even come out of it alive but he lived to go home and even preach the boxing gospel, hopefully with lessons in safety and security.
Dreams of big money bouts and international fame no more, but 'The Dream" lives on.
