The Atlas

Hi!

The whole time yesterday, I was on a montain called The Atlas. Here's what wiki says about it:

"The Atlas Mountains (Arabic: جبال الأطلس‎, Kabyle: Idurar n leṭles) are a mountain range across a northern stretch of Africa extending about 2,400 km (1,500 miles) through Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia."

For a complete write up of the subject, visit Atlas Mountains.

Ok here are my thoughts and insights gained during my pysical interaction with the Atlas:

Mountains, from afar look so big, hence the we have an adjective mountainous. Malaki, nakaka-intimidate di ba from afar?

Pero habang napapalapit ka na, yung form and content ng bundok unti unting lumilinaw, so nakakapag elicite sya ng excitement. Details provide the brain necessary stimulation. Emotions run high lalo na kung yung tao na making a contact with the mountain is "into it".

Tapos ayan na, yung ascending part. As always, kahit sa Piipinas, ang akyat ng mga kotse, sasakyan sa bundok hindi direct hit method kundi paikot hit method.

So ano ang dating nun? Ang lahat ng malalaking bagay, kinakailangan inuuntiunti. Slowly breaking down tasks into small chunks. Hindi pwedeng akyat agad dahil ang daming elements to consider: body reaction ng tao agaiinst the pressure caused by high altitude, the vehicles limited capacity and the time factor. Time factor kasi nga, we really have to wait thats all.

May mystic appeal ang bundok ano. So high, so stable and so mysterious. Maraming pwedeng makita kung pupuntahan mo, iikutin mo.

Then if you're not into it, yari ka, madali kang mapapagod, you'll soon ask yourself why you're there, when you can be doing something else, something more meaningful.

Mountan and life.

Enough!

Sa kabila pala ng Atlas mountain is Algeria na and Tunisia.

Di ko inattempt na tumayo sa borders ng 3 countries and be in 3 places at one time kasi nga mejo delikado sa Algeria plus the fact na di ko naman nakita yung borders... Heheheh!

Sanay ako sa atin sa Pilipinas na lahat ng nakikita ko eh Pilipinas, walang borders etc. Everything is ours. Hahahah!

Hope my insights will somehow help my readers value life and mountains. Haahhaha!

ye for now.
