Chess in Education Series

Hey there!

Before logging off after another day writing narrative reports for my students, I thought I'd give myself a reward.... surf and check out chess blogs while waiting for the May sundown rainshowers in this tropical country of ours.

And yes, I chose to check on The Retired Pawn's blog which had the post about China earthquake, prayers to all the victims.

I found out he has finished his Chess in Education Series(CES) with his posts of CES-V and CES-VI. I didn't agree with his fifth offering though when he said:

"...Chess is not physically demanding, but it requires a cognitive ability of the highest order and an astonishing degree of concentration to play the game well."

Physically, a serious chess player must have the physical strength and stamina if he or she aims for a top performance.

Aside from that, the series is a winner! Cheers to you!
