Kanina nasa isang marche ako (grocery) when I was about to pay na, someone asked
"Japanese?"
Sabi ko, no, Filipino!
Then sabi, ahh, "welcome!"
Ano ba yan, basta Asian looking either Chinese or Japanese lang ang kilala nila.

once i told the cab driver i was from the philippines. he didn't believe me, and then started this whole litany about how i really am from thailand or from mexico, and that i didn't look filipino.
